Taller 301 in Kyiv!
The project submitted by Taller 301 to the International Architecture Competition URBAN LANDSCAPING IN KYIV FOR EURO-2012 was selected
as one of the 8 best design proposals. Partners Pablo Forero and Julian Restrepo will be presenting their project to the jury members in front of a
public audience on April 29 in Kiev, Ukraine. They have also been invited as guest lecturers to the CANactions - International Youth Architectural
Festival 2011 and will present their recent work on April 30th.

Taller 301 wins International Architecture Competition │ Urban Landscaping in Kyiv for the Euro 2012!
After presenting the project before the jury members in Kyiv / Ukraine, Taller 301 was awarded First Prize in the International Architecture
Competition URBAN LANDSCAPING IN KYIV FOR EURO-2012. The project entitled Reclaiming the Shore consists of 413 hectares between the
Dnieper River and the City Center, and envisions a series of interventions to be developed for the upcoming UEFA European Football
Championship 2012 hosted in Kyiv, as well as a long term vision for the city.
The jury report states: "With only few interventions Reclaiming the Shore has the potential to strengthen the identity and enhance the recreational
qualities of a unique urban landscape in Kiev."

Taller 301 + Juan Pablo Ortiz Arquitectos received 2nd Prize in the National Architecture Competition for the Usme Town Hall!
The district of Usme, on the south of Bogotá, held a competition for the design of their new Town Hall as part of a recent policy that gives autonomy
to the local authorities of the city. The proposal which received second prize envisions the continuation of the existing plaza creating an urban
balcony which overlooks the rural landscape across the Tunjuelo river while creating a sequence of diverse public spaces. see project

Taller 301 + Studio Area 4 reached the 2nd Place in the National Architecture Competition for the Arts and Crafts Park in Bello!
The abandoned industrial workshops, that were once used for the maintenance and repair of locomotives and railway cars by National Railways of
Colombia, are in desperate need of reform and reuse. A new Arts and Crafts Park will help recycle the existing infrastructure and open this
magnificent heritage to the public. The proposal wanted to preserve the industrial atmosphere of the former workshops while enabling new
cultural activities: a place where industry and culture are difficult to tell apart. see project

Los antiguos talleres industriales, que eran usados para el mantenimiento y reparación de locomotoras y vagones de los ferrocarriles nacionales
de Colombia, necesitan ser recuperados y mejorados. Un nuevo Parque de Artes y Oficios ayudará a reciclar la infraestructura existente para
luego abrir este magnífico patrimonio al público. La propuesta buscaba preservar la atmósfera industrial de los antiguos talleres permitiendo los
nuevos usos: un lugar donde la cultura y la industria son difíciles de separar. ver proyecto

Taller 301's proposal was shortlisted for a Merit Award in the Istanbul Disaster Prevention and Education Centre in Turkey!
ThyssenKrupp Elevator and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality hosted a competition in which Taller 301 made the top ten, as the sole
representative of the American continent among a total of 287 projects projects from 59 countries. The center was to be equipped with audiovisual
educational appliances and simulation systems to recreate the experiences of earthquake, hurricane, firefighting, smoke, inundation, first aid and
emergency communications; as well as a planetarium, a library, information boards and seminar and meeting halls that will serve to inform
visitors. see project
¡La propuesta de Taller 301 recibió una mención para el Centro Educativo y de Prevención de Desastres en Estambul, Turquía!
ThyssenKrupp Elevator y el Ayuntamiento de Estambul organizó un concurso en el cual Taller 301 logró posicionarse entre las diez mejores
propuestas, como el único representante del continente americano entre 287 proyectos de 59 países. El centro debía estar equipado con aparatos
audiovisuales educativos y sistemas de simulación para recrear las experiencias de: terremotos, huracanes, incendios, humo, inundaciónes,
primeros auxilios y comunicaciones de emergencia. También incluía un planetario, una biblioteca, auditorios para seminarios y reuniones para
informar a los visitantes. ver proyecto

Metrovivienda, as head of the District Goverment, together with the Secretaries of Education, Social Integration and Culture, are promoting a
project without precedents that will allow the full integration of educational, social, cultural, recreational and sports facilities contemplated in the
urban development for the Social Housing Project of "Tres Quebradas" in Usme.
The jury states: " The project is logically conceived, with great technical consistency, and a permeable urban structure which allows it to respond
appropriately to the brief requirements that refer to the articulation of the surrounding city, making the project a reference for the adjacent
neighborhoods." see project

Mixto en Usme!
Metrovivienda, en cabeza del Gobierno Distrital, junto con las secretarías de Educación, Integración Social, y Cultura, actúan como entidades
promotoras de un proyecto sin precedentes que permitirá la integración, eficiencia y complementariedad entre los equipamientos educativos, de
integración social y de cultura, recreación y deporte que se encuentran previstos en el planteamiento urbanístico del Proyecto Integral de Vivienda
de Interés Social e Interés Prioritario previsto dentro del Plan Parcial “Tres Quebradas" en la localidad de Usme.
El jurado destaca: "Es un proyecto lógicamente concebido, con una gran consistencia técnica y una estructura urbana permeable que le permite
responder con especial acierto a la solicitud de configurar un conjunto articulador de la ciudad circundante, convirtiéndose en lugar de referencia
